Event: Emergency Repairs, Part One

EMERGENCY REPAIRS

Those who dreamed, who were called, travel in the night. Out into the cold, into buildings, down, down, down. Everyone is asleep, and so no one sees where they travel or how they get there. Not even they see it, not really--but they awaken in a bizarre room. It twists in directions that don't exist and energy pulses around, following random-unrandom paths. The paths are not the same each time but the destinations are the same but the destinations are not the same but the paths are the same but-- It hurts to be here. Luckily, there's an attached room made of simple metal. There's water and food, even if it's boring, tasteless mush, beds for each of them, and an attached bathroom. The administrator speaks. "Everything is out of alignment. I can't fix it on my own. Please, you need to--" Then, suddenly, she stops speaking. It's silent. You're left to your own devices. Meanwhile, outside, everyone begins to wake up. Unfortunately, wherever they are now, they're locked in. At least for the morning, there's no travel. The network still works, but those who vanished cannot be contacted over it, at least for now. It seems, however, that the tablets are downloading something. Maybe once it's finished, more of this will make sense. Everyone who signed up has been selected for the event. All interactions between people in the repair project will take place here. This part of the event will only last ICly for the morning and OOCly for the 13th--on the 14th, more will happen. For now, well, maybe you can figure out what in the world you're supposed to fix on your own! Good luck!
