Technological Seance ... Oxymoron?
Hello fellow Snobos!
If I can have your attention briefly, I just wanted to make everybody aware of a small player plot/IC experiment that Will is going to be proposing to the Norfinbury population in January.
During a conversation with Beckett an idea was formed to try to reach out to the data ghosts (ones who came before) through -for lack of a better term- a sort of technological seance.
The idea cropped up from Beckett suggesting they try to have interactions at every haunted house using the best Character personality fit for that house; so like how Will was a good fit for the dog. However, that could take a long time to get people around to physical locations but WIll threw out the suggestion of a group technology seance with the tablets.
That way if Character X in location Y might tempt a dataghost in location A occupied by Character B that ghost might respond to Character X heard through Character B's tablet.
So upon agreement, one night everybody willing to participate wherever they are in Norfinbury will open a channel on their tablet try to make a tablet grid and try to contact data ghosts.
I went to the mods with this idea and got permission to run it some time in January. The plan is to have an IC post where Will will ask characters if they would be willing to participate and if they're willing to participate what ideas/questions/particular ghosties the group should try to reach out too. Then, when the group as a whole has a 'plan' there will be an agreed upon evening where they'll try this and see if they can get any ghosties to respond.
I'm putting up this post now as a heads up and also to get an idea of who might like to jump on board, answer any questions OOCly. My initial thinking is to target doing this for a few days after apps close, so that any new arrivals can get involved as well so sometime after January 10th through January 17th; subject to mod approval!
