Consolidation Theory

No one down in the cell block remembers the events of the day or night before, waking up in the morning with a complete blank where that space should be. You're not hungry or thirsty, though, and you're not more injured than you were, so there's that--but those who aren't marked will feel a certain sense of ominousness, like something important happened and they really need to try and remember... What you do know, though, is that there's a tablet in the cell block now, out in the hallway. Only those without marks can get to it, of course, but it can be delivered to anyone, and it isn't assigned to anyone. You can leave messages to those outside--voice or text, no video--if you'd like, but there's a catch: any time you leave a message, you also leave a video of something that happened earlier. In the case of the marked characters, it's an image of being drugged, of hallucinating, of reacting to events you don't remember. In the case of those who are unmarked, however, it's fragments of the bizarre and awful things that took place. If you're hoping to figure out who did what, though, sorry--every red-marked person who shows up in these videos, even the relatively innocuous ones, is represented as a red silhouette instead. Unfortunately, no message is left under your own username, instead showing up as a blur of static, but it shows up as black static for the unmarked and red static for the marked. Players may choose what and how much is revealed of the events that took place. The videos can be very small snippets that increase over the length of a conversation, if you'd like. Please get permission of anyone involved in a thread if you're going to share a specific thread instead of something general that happened! The post for this part of the event is here.

And a question about the extra video messages. Can the people in the cells see them? Or are they just for the people outside?

Hey, Admin. It looks like we're getting username changes for the kidnapped people contacting us. They're all using one tablet- if they had the red lines on them (which I gather you couldn't see but we can), their username is coming up as red static. If they were kidnapped later, their username is coming up as black static.

Does the tablet rely on biometrics of any sort? Is that why they're showing up differently? Or does it even look different to you? Does it even make sense that they can all use the same tablet?

Also, Miller's the one behind this, if you haven't heard already. He says he's trying to fix them, but considering the methods he used last time we're all sort of skeptical. Or more than skeptical.

Is there anything we can do to help you find them?
