No Such Thing

On the morning of day 402, before the doors even unlock for the morning, every infected tablet turns off again. This may not be that surprising, all things considered. Going outside, though, reveals that the shadowy people who wander around--well, they're screaming, hissing like broken radios as they seem to burn away like mist. Everyone who has an infected tablet begins to hear a persistent ringing in their ears, similar to tinnitus. It starts out quiet, but it gets louder and more difficult to ignore as the morning continues. For those who still have working tablets, @ADMIN is not responding.

Will the static people burn away like mist immediately if someone tries to interact with them?

They don't burn away any more quickly than any other, but they don't react to interactions either.

Is any of this different if a character is inside the bunker?

Do people with uninfected tablets also see the shadowy people outside?

Nope, except there aren't shadow people in there.

Would trying to scan them with one of the available apps do anything (assuming there are copies on uninfected tablets)?

What happens if someone tries to film it, would they show up in the recording?

There would be no reaction to the tablets. They will show up on recordings. Feel free to use them to scare your friends.

ALSO IN RETROSPECT

The update says 402 is when the shadowy people start screaming, but

when do they actually show up? I can't seem to find any mention in previous posts, please help :(
