| As day thirty-six arrives, the event begins. Over the course of the day, as various people arrive in certain buildings, the possessions will take place: as the traveler draws close, either by accident or intention, the shadow will stop still. It will turn to look at the person in question and begin to scream. Then it will move forward very rapidly--too rapidly to avoid, almost too rapidly to react to while it's happening--and push itself into the traveler.
