Dr. Hannibal Lecter
13 November 2017 @ 09:50 pm
Hello, Snowblind! I'm Kitty, and I bring you Dr. Hannibal Lecter from Bryan Fuller's luscious TV show Hannibal. He's a physician, an art lover, a snazzy dresser, and an extremely talented chef. He would gladly have you for dinner.

He's also way, way too fond of cannibalism puns.

Hannibal deals with a lot of dark and disturbing subjects, most of them involving the titular character. Dr. Lecter is also estremely perceptive and skilled at teasing out people's deepest, darkest secrets. Therefore, I encourage people to comment on my permissions post if you would like me to avoid any subjects or would rather not have Hannibal pick your character's brain apart (literally or figuratively).

I'm so psyched to be here, and I look forward to playing with all you folks! If you would like to friend me on plurk, you can find me at [plurk.com profile] herekitty.

Decoherence
A message from @ADMIN greets you on the dawn of day 300: Warning: System Instability. Contact the appropriate government officials immediately. It's not very specific, but what's wrong will become obvious soon enough: everyone remembers different events happening, sometimes at the same time as they remember other effects. It's similar to something that happened before, some may remember, but the effects now are longer-lasting and more vivid, along with impacting the entire time. From small things like what they had for breakfast this morning to large things like what the last strange event was, people may remember wrong or may remember multiple things. Sometimes it matches up with what others remember, and sometimes they remember experiencing situations with others--even if that person was nowhere near them in reality.

On morning 302, characters will be awoken with a series of sharp pinches, like they're receiving multiple shots in rapid succession. Even for those who have been here from the beginning, that's new. Still, after fifteen minutes of paralysis, their memories right themselves--mostly. They still remember the alternate events, it's just obvious that they didn't really happen, even if it feels sort of like they did.

Contact the appropriate government officials immediately.

During the event, everyone can have alternate memories of situations happening to them in Norfinbury. They can remember themselves traveling alone when they were with someone, with someone when they were alone,
or with an entirely different group. They can remember alternate relationships--not dating someone, being friends with someone they hate, hating someone they're friends with... As long as all players involved agree and it remains IC, who knows what could happen! Additionally, characters may remember alternate events that never happened. Characters can remember as real any prompt that happened in a test drive. They can remember any thread that actually took place during the test drive, and a post has been provided for anyone who wants to play out test drive prompts--or anything else that didn't happen in the past--together as part of the event. You may also play out alternate outcomes to actual events, though they have to be within the realm of the event as described (you can play out a situation where your character suffered from different effects, for example, but you can't make up new effects that weren't written in the plot description).

After the event ends, characters will still remember these situations, though they will know the situations didn't happen to them. Still, it wouldn't be at all unusual for the emotions and relationships to linger somewhere in their minds. Most brains weren't meant to try and sort out this sort of peculiarity, after all.
