| On the morning of day 331, everyone returns. Everyone falls asleep--or if you jumped into the pit, you were in a somewhat more permanent state of unconsciousness--and you are awoken with a perhaps familiar pinch of injection pain somewhere on your person. For fifteen minutes you lie paralyzed. Anyone who didn't end up in the room doesn't suffer this, though they did still fall asleep. For those who were in the room and didn't jump, there's nothing else to worry about. For those who did jump, there's a small red mark somewhere on your person. This may be taken as simple inflammation from an injection--unless, of course, you have a body that doesn't do that, or should inflame in a different color, in which case it's more immediately alarming. Of course, everyone with the mark should be alarmed as, over time, it grows, turning from a spot into an intricate lacework of red lines, different in every person, like a tattoo. Soft curves, geometric patterns, aside from the marks being red there's no pattern to it. At the rate it's growing, it cover a character's whole body just in time for the event next month. |
