Event: Those Left Behind, Part Two

THOSE LEFT BEHIND
On day 230, the anomalies begin to attack--sort of. They go only after the person they're following, ignoring all others unless they get in the way of their prey (and even then they only act to shove them out of the way). But it's not a constant thing like it usually is when one encounters an anomaly. Sometimes they only follow, and sometimes they seem to make the motions of beginning an attack before hesitating. They never actually kill when they do go through with an attack: they may knock their prey to the ground and pin them down, but then they only stare for a long time before eventually stepping away and returning to simply watching and following for a period of time.

They only attack those who didn't have their light stolen. Those who did have their light stolen will find their anomalies don't even start to try to attack.

The ones who do attack, though, begin to speak. They sound the way you'd expect them to, and the way they say it varies depending on who they are, but the subject is always the same, and they always sound half-crazed and half-miserable: why was it you and not me who has it, this isn't fair, give it to me, let me use it for a while... Given the lack of assaults on those with their lights stolen, they must be referring to that. But what does that even mean?

For people who were anomalies, I'm assuming they count as people who didn't have their lights stolen? Or is that only if they managed to steal other people's lights?

When the anomalies pin people down, do people get knocked unconscious?

Does the speech get picked up by a recording tablet? Since previous anomaly speech was always described as being in the minds of observers and all...

Awesome, thank you!

If someone was to try and, say, slice open an anomaly's throat with a shard of window glass would that be as ineffective as attempted bludgeoning?

Does anything happen if someone attempts to tell their anomaly that they can take what they want?

SORRY FOR THE QUESTION BEFORE I misunderstood this comment, but! If the anomaly apparently can't take the light, what if it's asked what it would need to take it?

Final question! To what degree is what the anomalies are saying "personalised" so to speak? Could they refer to canon events if they're pertinent (for example an instance in canon in which the character took something from them) or are they not coherent enough for that sort of thing?

Would it be possible to lock the character away from the anomaly? Like in another room? Or are they fast enough to not be tricked like that?

If the anomaly follows Sheena into a building on Day 230, and she somehow manages to elude it long enough to get into a closet/other room with a door that locks or can be blocked.

Would that be possible? And if so, would the anomaly just ignore the door and smash through it to get to her?

Would the suits from the power plant do anything to protect them from the monster's touch?

Can other characters hear what your anomaly says? Does it make a difference if the other person has had their light stolen or not?

Oh! Since this just occurred to me. For those who have their lights stolen- while their anomalies won't attack them, does that also mean that those anomalies won't be heard speaking, even from those who see those anomalies in their more monstrous forms?

Gotcha! Thanks!
