As the night of day 251 bleeds into the morning of day 252, the static-covered shadows leave--and in this case, they slip through walls and doors like spirits. It may be difficult to tell where they're going exactly, but working together, it's clear they're all headed to the industrial zone. Sometime after that, everyone who isn't already asleep passes out. Everyone is awoken with the sharp sting of an injection in one of their limbs and the inability to move or even open their eyes for fifteen minutes. After fifteen minutes pass, everyone is back to normal, although anyone who used the eye application during the event, even for things unrelated to the event, has an eye symbol carved somewhere on their body. This will remain even through death until further notice. Additionally, everyone will find the following message in their inbox from a sender whose username is blanked out with static: Observation of residents complete. Please await results.

Is it safe to assume that attempts to reply to the unknown sender will not garner responses?

Correct. It's impossible to send a message directly in reply and there's no way to type static into the tablet to try that way.

The answer is probably no, but is there any way for someone with the hacking app to try to hack the message and get more information on the user or find similar messages?
