Night falls again. On the sinner floor, a girl can be heard weeping on and off in the moments where no converts are visiting. "I didn't want this", she says over and over. If you're worried about more surgery, it's okay--you won't be returning to the operating room tonight. The converts will be coming to the cells, though. Sinners Sinners will be checked on by their assigned converted tonight. They will be offered a food that looks and tastes vaguely but not quite like applesauce and water if they are capable of eating and drinking. If they refuse to eat and drink, or if they cannot, then their assigned convert will enter their cell and feed them via an IV drip. This method takes one hour, so try to eat normally if you can. Over the course of the remainder of the night and the next day, sinners will begin to have increasing levels of disorientation and confusion. They're a bit less aware of where they are, and this increases as the day wears on. Converted During the night, the converted will travel as a group to the sinner cells. They will feed and water their assigned sinners: ideally, they will be giving them water and applesauce-like food, but if not, they will attach the sinner to an IV drip for one hour that will provide food and water for them. The converts may note increasing disorientation and confusion in the sinners--this is good! It's a sign that the conversion is beginning to take hold. They'll be happy to tell the sinners this. You wouldn't want them being frightened about what they're feeling, right? On the other hand, it seems like the brainwashing is starting to strain. While converts still cannot harm each other, sinners, or their environment, they are now able to leave the convert floor without losing control of themselves. They cannot go to the sinner floor without the brainwashing taking hold again (leaving them probably looking very confused in the elevator as they step out), but they can explore the rest of the building. Most of the floors aren't very useful, but are perhaps alarming: there are dozens of floors identical to the convert and sinner floors, albeit empty of people and accommodations like food. Clearly this place was once a veritable factory of conversion. They can explore the operating room as well, if they'd like. Unfortunately, there is still one floor they can't bring themselves to go to: the very top floor. Additionally, it's possible for the sinners to strain the brainwashing even more than they may have been. Anyone with a close connection to a sinner or who makes a close connection to a sinner will be more impacted by their words and actions than they were before. At worse, this leads to powerful, throbbing headaches and will send the convert immediately back to the convert floor, where they will be unable to leave until their headache subsides (anywhere from fifteen minutes to a couple of hours depending on how bad it was). Those Outside Things may seem awful, but there is a way you can help: the more you talk to the sinners, the less confused and disoriented they will be. Of course, this relies on them having tablet access, or being able to borrow a tablet... Characters with closer CR will have a stronger effect, but this can also extend to those who manage to create strong CR during the event. Unfortunately, it seems like the video feed has cut out. Question 1: Will the converted be finding any prophet symbols during their exploration?

Question 2: I want to make sure it's not missed since Bizzy asked yesterday on the prior event post, but do the converts' or sinners' cloaks have the prophet symbol on them anywhere?

Question 3: Would the crying girl show any reaction to being asked, "Who are you?" or if that fails, "Sam? Are you okay?"

1) Each converted room is decorated with prophet symbols identically to the current prophet floor. Any others found will be noted specifically.

2) Nope.

3) She doesn't react at all. It seems more like a memory than anything else.

So Enoch has asked Manny to restrain him before nightfall in case they're going down to do more harm. What happens?

At the time when everyone is leaving to feed the sinners, someone (it doesn't have to be Manny, but it could) will untie Enoch under brainwashing influence.

1. Joker's mouth is covered up I believe so he can't eat. He'll also make a gigantic fuss.

How would that go? (Would he feel compelled to settle down, would he be restrained, further harmed etc?)

2. If chaos played Lavender's Blue to the Sinners on his flute would that do anything?

1) It's true, he will have to be IV fed. He can put up a fuss for a while, but he would eventually feel compelled to settle down assuming England can't hold him down beforehand.

2) All sinners who heard the song would be relieved of their disorientation for the duration of the song (but playing it repeatedly would reduce the effect). All converts would suffer headaches and be forced to leave the sinner cell area for fifteen minutes.

How would more passive food resistance go? Like quietly poking a hole in the IV or inducing vomiting of the sinner porridge later?

I'm guessing if Quark tried to write out a message to the sinners on paper and bring it down with him, he'd end up leaving it behind. What if he wrote a message on himself--on his hands and arms? Would it still be there for any of the sinners to see even if he doesn't retain the desire to show them under brainwashing, or would be he forced to scrub the text off before going downstairs?

Stephen seems to have convinced Al to take out his hand stitches first and ask America questions later. Will he be able to unstitch one of Stephen's hands from his face?

Are the converted allowed to take cups or bowls down to the sinners? to give them something to drink out of.

Small question: would they be allowed to bring down small items from the convert area upstairs to make it easier on the sinners if they're asked nicely under the influence of brainwashing? Like a blanket? Something they can't use to hurt themselves.

So, House is currently going through Vicodin withdrawal on top of all of his other fun effects. His symptoms are canonically more akin to hardcore heroin withdrawal than just Vicodin. Handwaving the writer's dramatics as him just being on a super high dosage or something. BUT IN ANY CASE. The symptoms include chills, nausea, fever, vomiting, all signs to the untrained eye that he has an infection.

Could any of the converts be convinced to help him or to try to find Vicodin for him? Because he would really like his Vicodin, please. Please. 8(

Al will very carefully be thinking about not leaving as he goes down as far as he can and tries to find a way to open a door to the outside. Not to get out, but to let the people outside in. Obviously to also convert them, definitely not to rescue the sinners...

Enoch will be looking through all the abandoned sinner cells on the other floors, searching for anything either immediately of note, or a weakness in structure or accommodations that could be used to the sinners' advantage. He'll pay special attention to cells where prior occupants were forced to draw eyes, if they're still there.

Manny will be going over the operating room a few times, looking for anything that might be useful or anywhere he can hide things. (Not that he knows what to hide but whatever)

One specific question for now: Is there a drain? Or something that blood was meant to be washed down. If not does he remember, or can he figure out, how it was cleaned between patients?

1. Vanitas will be using a people ladder of Manny and perhaps Enoch if he has time after his exploration. Are there ceiling tiles? Can they be lifted up? Anything he could find up there?

2. He will be searching thoroughly for anything he can use to write with. Any pens or markers? Checking drawers and anything else.

3. Would climbing on top of counters or the appliances in any of the kitchens work? Could he reach the ceiling or any vents? Also are the other kitchens supplied?

Is the operating room the very bottom floor or does it seem like there's more below it? is it above ground or below ground

Vanitas is going to concentrate on the floor above theirs, and the top most floor they can get to. He will be checking under the beds, inside cupboards, insider of drawers, and searching all the surfaces he can find and reach. He will feel up the mattresses in the beds for anything curious or foreign that shouldn't be there. He will open up any toilet tanks he encounters in case something is stashed there.

England and America are going to check out the oven! Looking inside it and at the stovetop, particularly at the heating elements. They'll also be looking to see if they can see behind it (between the oven and the wall), and if it can be pulled out away from the wall. They're basically trying to investigate the source of the electricity here and if any of the parts are easily detachable.
