Consolidation Theory

On morning 353, those still marked with red lines on their body wake up in a cage. Okay, it's a bit more elaborate than that--it's a cell, all white polished surfaces and a barrier of blue-tinged energy keeping you in. There's a small bathroom (no shower, sorry) you can use to get some minimal amount of privacy, but for the most part you're exposed to everyone else. Right, you're not alone--everyone is in their own little cell, identical to yours except for where it sits in the room. You can't quite see everyone, since you can't see into the cells next to you or farther down the line, but you can hear everyone. Robert Miller's voice comes over some unseen speaker: "Something is wrong with all of you. I'm going to fix it. You'll stay here for now." Unfortunately, for those thinking of making a daring escape, you don't have any of your things with you. Even your clothing has been replaced with a plain white jumpsuit that may be just a little too tight for comfort, though the material is thick enough to prevent any real embarrassment. Maybe you should just talk to each other for now. As for everyone left in town? Well, it's just another mysterious disappearance. This is almost standard procedure! Don't worry, though, it won't last long... If you play a character who is not already in the cells and would like to participate in an extra part of the event, please reply here by 10PM EST on April 24! Make sure to have your squick lists updated if necessary. We may not have space for everyone who signs up, but we'll try to get as many people involved as we can. If you play someone who is already in the cells, you can reply to the sign-up, but note that if we have too many people sign up, we'll start by removing people who already have characters in this part of the event.

Does the force field acting as the front of the cell burn or shock on touch or can characters lean against it? If neither of the above, what does it feel like?

If they can lean on it, how far around the corner of their cell can they see (that is, can two adjacent characters lean on their force fields and sort of see each other?)

It doesn't burn or shock, it feels like a solid structure. A bit cool to the touch, but not uncomfortably so. They can only see as far as you could see if you were pressed up against a window.

Are characters' belongings left where they were last bunked up for the night? In particular, I'm wondering if my characters' pets have been left alone out in Norfinbury or if they've also disappeared somewhere (Tess was traveling alone and I'm pretty sure Stephen's entire party is in the cells).

They've disappeared somewhere and are not left in town (but they'll be fine, don't worry).

Nope, though it might splatter back on whoever throws it, but that's just physics.

Just to double-check, does the small bathroom contain a sink in addition to the toilet? And is there soap and toilet paper?

Also, for those left outside, what will the response be if they message @ADMIN and @robertmiller asking where the others are?

There is a sink, soap, and toilet paper, though the soap is inside the sink somewhere and you can only hold your hand under the nozzle to get it to come out.
