Event: Metamorphosis, Part One

Metamorphosis

On morning 412, if they slept, those whose tablets were infected don't wake up. If they weren't sleeping, they pass out much like they did not so long ago. Again they're comatose. If anyone not infected draws near them, there's an unsettling, machine-like droning noise. It's not coming from them, exactly, but proximity to those who are comatose makes it louder. Other than that, it's eerily quiet. The infected, meanwhile--well, maybe they dream: They wake up--not really, but to them it seems like it--in a white room. To those who have seen it, it's identical to the ones that they have been taken to before, now and again, so perhaps they're there? The other infected are there, too. All of your things are gone, and none of you feel well. There's something in your body. You can feel it, and it hurts. Maybe you can see it moving around under your skin--not everyone can see such a dramatic display, but some can. You're nauseous. Maybe you throw up, but it doesn't make things any better. Maybe you cough up blood. Your muscles are unreliable, and you're as likely to fall down as you are to have your muscles lock you in a rigid pose. Your mind works, though. You're perfectly capable of realizing something is horribly, terribly wrong. (Later, you'll forget all this.) If you play an infected character, please reply to this post with an element. Something like the classical elements, that is. If it's something that you could imagine as a Pokemon type, then you're free to select it. (Well, not fairy, bug, and dragon. Those are creatures, gosh Game Freak.) Select an element for each of your infected characters.

Do characters have their backpacks and/or items with them?

Does it feel like something's moving through their bodies? And what shape does it take when they look at their skin, is it something poking out of them all lumpy-like or is it like, worms?

If a character has actually had a thing invade their bodies in canon can whatever this is mimic that?

Is there going to be any change if awake characters examine those who are in comas with the Eye App or Ocean Eye App? Or try to film them regularly?

Because everyone likes bad ideas, would carving an extra prophet eye into a comatose person have any effect on them in the dream world? Or would they just have a new scar and someone to smack when they (hopefully) wake up?

Assuming "no response," but would the Admin respond to an awake person telling her the people are comatose?

If your character is perceiving something about themselves (blood, things crawling under skin, etc.) can other characters in the white room also see that?

I have another question - are items worn as clothing (such as blankets worn as belts/scarves) on them, or would they have to be intended as an article of clothing to stay?

Or are their clothes replaced entirely as well?

Eridium for Angel! Here's the deets to save you scouring the wiki:

- it's glowy, violet and tends to grow in crystals (though once refined it comes in liquid form or in bars like so). Uh I think this is the best image of natural eridium we have off the top of my head
- it's extremely potent when used as a power source, and when in use it looks like this. EVEN GLOWIER AND PURPLIER WOW
- sirens like Angel can absorb it, boosting their powers and giving them regenerative abilities. it's horribly addictive to them, though, and if they become dependent on it then withdrawal of their supply will kill them in seconds (this is how Angel died in canon ftr)
- humans can NOT absorb it, and if they eat it/are submerged in the liquid form they will die horribly
- the refinement process produces a substance called slag, which is toxic as fuck and weakens anything it's applied to (organic or synthetic)

Could mako be considered as such?

It's spirit energy, granted, but it's some bizarre byproduct that's also physically extracted and used as an energy source, too, and it has a solidified form that occurs naturally. It also contains properties that make people sick from overexposure. I know it's something that might fall more in the middle though.

If not that, I'll go with electricity for Zack.
