Lilly Desange

Have you ever stepped back and thought, "You know what this game really needs? A feral six-year-old who will feel a lot more comfortable with the town ghosts than she will with the other characters." If so, I feel you guys, and I'm here for you.

This is Lilly, from the 2013 horror film Mama. If you've never seen it (which you should, because it's pretty good!), the basic gist is that through some very unfortunate circumstances, a three-year-old girl and a one-year-old girl are left alone in an abandoned cabin deep in the woods. They end up being cared for by a creepy as fuck ghost-monster-thing until they're finally found five years later. Lilly was that one-year-old, now aged six, and the fact that she was raised in isolation by a eldritch abomination definitely shows.

Her application is here, and I also have a quick explanation about how I handle her speech patterns here (this is probably only important to read if you really, really hate phonetically-written speech/accents and want to know why I'm doing the thing, and/or ask me to stop doing the thing in my threads with you). I'm definitely looking forward to throwing her into the game! I also play Alfie Solomons/[personal profile] devoutish, and my contact info is the same; PMs, journal comments, and PPs to [plurk.com profile] ihdreniel are all good.

Mina Murray
08 February 2018 @ 02:33 pm
Hello, this is Amanda (player of Harley Quinn) and I'm bringing you a Victorian lady named Mina Murray. She's from Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, at the end of Volume 2. For those who are canonblind, LoEG is a Steampunk hodgepodge of various Victorian Literature and nothing like the movie. Mina herself is the heroine of Bram Stoker's Dracula, who has since divorced Jonathan Harker and is now working as a member of the British Secret Service under Mycroft Holmes and leading her own rag-tag group of characters.

Her app is here and her HMD is here. Please feel free to drop me critique or advice at any time, as I'm far from an expert on Victoriana or Britishisms. You can also contact me either by PM or through plurk at [plurk.com profile] phurbur.

David Bouchard [Bon Cop Bad Cop]
Hello! This is LP (Flynn Carsen, [plurk.com profile] caffettiera), finally caving and bringing in a second character! This time from the movie Bon Cop, Bad Cop a cliché-ridden trashfest (do you detect a pattern tho) of a Canadian buddy cop movie about an uptight Ontario by-the-book cop and his rule-breaking rebellious counterpart.

This is David. David is an angry French-Canadian cop from the Sûreté du Québec who thinks it's really cool to pretend he's an 80s movie macho guy but he's really not. He is also not too big on rules or morals or being mature or procedure or not getting into fistfights with everybody or not being a wisecracking piece of shit 24/7 but what can you do.

He is from a completely everyday world in the year 2006 and he will rationalize Norfinbury away 5ever because even accepting he lost his mind is preferable to accepting this place and all of you are crazy creepy people, the end. He will not believe that any of you once upon a time had any kind of powers. But please tell him about them. He might decide to just make up some for himself at some point.

If you're English* he probably does not like you.

If you're not English* he probably doesn't like you either.

Also, the city took his smokes so he's starting out with sever nicotine withdrawal which will be stellar for his mood.

*"English" in this definition includes everything from Anglo-Canadian to American to British and all varieties thereof.
