Event: They Live - Part Two

THEY LIVE
Early in the morning of day nineteen, a message goes out over the network. While the admin continues to refuse to respond to anyone, there is a noticeable effect on the creatures infesting the town: they fall back and vanish into the snow as the light that announced their arrival pulses on and off. Travel is possible once again. It looks like they're gone.

They're not, though. They lurk in the darkness of abandoned buildings and are drawn to large groups and those with beacons turned on more than anyone else--though even someone alone who has taken all precautions may stumble across one. From now on, it is possible to run into these monsters while searching Norfinbury.

Today, however, the light pulses on and off all day. Headaches are common early on--and can you blame anyone for getting one?--but soon stranger effects become evident, especially for those who turned on their beacons. There's an urge to hide in the darkness, and then in small spaces--a closet would be best, but under a bed would be fine, too. It gets you away from the light, right? It's followed by loss of speech--first it may seem as if those effected are simply being quiet, but if pressed to make noise their speech is broken up and sometimes entirely garbled. Then there is the loss and scrambling of certain motor abilities: namely, they lose the ability to stand, although they can crawl at quite a quick pace, easily able to keep up with anyone who isn't actually running.

Finally, aggression sets in, and the urge to bite and tear open anyone who moves too quickly, speaks too loudly, or brings light into their hiding places. This goes on throughout the day and well into the night on day nineteen, with the changes hitting everyone at different speeds, while others remain entirely unaffected.

Eventually, of course, everyone will fall asleep a little before five AM even if they're trying to stay awake. And, at five in the morning, everyone will be startled awake with a painful injection, although they cannot move and cannot open their eyes to see what's happening. After fifteen minutes, they will be able to move again, and all effects of the previous day will have faded away. Things return to normal in Norfinbury. More or less, anyway.

Are the monsters still persistent when they chase a beacon person? As in, do they stay outside a house for days on end?

And if they are locked inside a building, do they stay there? Or do they mysteriously vanish at the end of the OOC day?
