SPIRITUAL

Everything is covered in static and in eyes. The symbols cut through the static as if the ink used to make them was a knife all on its own. The pupils follow the movements of anyone who draws near. They all follow the movement of whoever is closest to them perfectly. One gets the feeling even those in completely empty houses are tracking the movements of whoever happens to be three, six, nine houses away. No one at all can be seen; there is only the static. Look down at yourself, and you'll only see static. You can't even make out an outline of yourself. You can identify your tablet by holding it, and you know you must be there, somewhere, because you're thinking right now, but everything is chaos. The traveling shadows, though indistinguishable now from everything else, can still be heard. Now they speak in two ways at once: "Long Live the Prophet" and "Kill the Prophet" fill the town. That's all that can be heard--well, aside from the continued screaming from the other side of the split tunnels. In your pocket, or under your foot, or just behind you, there's a pen, red as blood. Suddenly, you realize what has to be done. You must either draw the eyes on yourself or scribble out every eye you see. Only then will--will--well. Something. The urge is irresistible: you must do one or the other, but you can choose which you do. Please reply to the following thread letting us know which your character chose. If your character is dead during this event, you don't have to respond to this. Whichever your character chooses will have future repercussions.

Since you mentioned being able to perceive the tablet, is any contact with the network possible at this point, before or after acting on the compulsion?

Tablet contact is possible, but it's almost entirely static-covered.

can the characters tell which action goes to which statement?
like would they know they were picking "kill the prophet" by doing whichever? (I assume erase eyes there but not sure)

They wouldn't know exactly, but those with a natural affinity in one direction or the other are more likely (but not guaranteed) to be pulled in that direction. For the OOC record, killing the prophet is erasing the eyes, and the long live the prophet option is drawing them on yourself.

House may or may not actually have the program, but would having the Eye App active on his tablet (or Kesara's tablet for her, since she definitely has it) have any effect on what's happening?

Using it makes every eye glow very brightly. This will make the urges, no matter which direction they lean, a lot worse.

1: Can a character begin to take one action and then switch to the other? If so, which counts, the one they start first or the one they settle on?

2: This one's character-specific: If Enoch starts erasing at first, does his unique event effect change any (like do her pleas change or does she grow quieter/louder, etc.)?

I am going to explain this entire plot/idea that we have, because we've kind of found a way to have it theoretically involve not dying but it requires characters being able to interact somewhat.

Stein sent this message to Kid in the middle of day 162 (freaking out), and Kid plans on trying to find Stein. He is far to far away for this to in any way be feasible, so Zach, Steph and Kesara are going to intervene...which they can only do if they can notice another person around them.

I reread this and realized that you have specifically noted that characters only see static--even for themselves. Static everything. Obviously, then, Zach wouldn't notice someone going off outside near lock down, because he can't even see himself. Would this have to take place earlier in the day to be feasible?

I AM SORRY FOR SUCH A RIDICULOUSLY LONG QUESTION I COULD HAVE PROBABLY JUST DONE THE LAST SENTENCE BUT CONTEXT IS IMPORTANT I always feel like context is important.
