Event: There Will Come Black Rains; Part One

THERE WILL COME BLACK RAINS

It sounds like it's raining. It's not, of course--it's too cold for that--but the sound of rain can be heard everywhere. It patters on the remaining rooftops and taps on intact and shattered windows alike. Walk outside and you can even feel it on your skin. Nothing is there, though, and no one gets wet. @ADMIN sends a message in the morning: Encrypted video data has been retrieved. Encryption key data has been lost. Please retrieve it. The travelers will have to walk around and look for the data, which can be found on SD cards scattered around town. Each time one is obtained, the data will be transferred, and the video will come closer to being unlocked. ICly, characters do not know where the SD cards are. OOCly, the locations will be listed in comments in this post. Please reply letting us know who is going to find each SD card! We're leaving it up to you to decide among yourselves who will be getting them, so please don't argue too much over it! The video will be available to everyone when revealed!

I'm personally going to vote for either Guybrush or Clint finding the card, because neither has had the chance to participate in a significant plot-y event like this!

I don't particularly care who actually picks the card up and puts it in their tablet, but I'd appreciate if we could be included in the search at the least.

Obviously you can be included in the search! Who else is with Steph? We probably should be careful of huge groups...

Zach and Kes, I think? I'm the only member of our group awake right now. If Clint and them are doubling back maybe they should consider splitting up?

I'm fine with it! That will be eight people in one house, so there's pretty much no way we're getting out of this without an anomaly, I think, just so everyone is okay with that!

Looks more like five? If Steph's group is waking up in the house then it'll only be five for a short time, so there shouldn't be much risk. Still, probably best to wait for the other time zones to be awake before we make any decisions.

I mean if Steph's group is waking up in the house it's kind of just guaranteed that Steph's group is going to find it since Clint/Nat/whoever would be getting there at the end of the day, so idk how to make this work so all of us get a chance to participate!

Hey, Mel here! SD cards are very small and often hard to find even if someone is there--it would be totally possible for one to be overlooked by the people already there, and the SD cards definitely weren't there the night before. If you continue to have problems deciding, I would of course be happy to RNG for you guys!

I'm 100% fine with you RNGing it! I'm also totally fine with Nat not finding it, so you can count me out!

Idk what the group looks like at this stage, but we could have Steph's crew spend more time searching buildings along the way and reach 100 closer to that time?

THE MORE I AM THINKING ABOUT IT the more i figure Clint probably wouldn't want to split off from Watson and Bucky this soon, and they desperately need food - plus he's been wanting to meet up with Davesprite so i think maybe we can just let another group of people grab the card in 100, it makes it a lot easier for everybody!

Guybrush I think is still heading to the building though, so! That'd end up with Steph, Kesara, Zach and Guybrush looking for the card. if you guys want to really want to have Clint and Natasha there we can figure that out!! Otherwise I'm fine with going this route if you guys are. Thoughts?

I'd still love for Steph and the Avengers to meet in person! Steph's group is pretty well stocked and willing to share if that's the main consideration, but I'm totally flexible. I'll probably be able to think better in the morning in any case, since I had to take a Xanax a little while ago and may be out of commission for the rest of the night.
